Roast Records 024 - Strawberry Co-Ferment

Allcaps has been on my list for a while due to their experimental take on coffee, especially their co-fermented coffees.

Let's jump in!!!!!

Frube yoghurt

Origin and Region

The Brew

Very interesting coffee, as this has been co-fermented with strawberries. Heavy taste notes of strawberry and berries and a slight creaminess – the best description is a frube yoghurt.

Best as a pour-over and batch brew, but my sort of controversial opinion is that it is not nice in milk at all; this is due to the coffee coming with a high acidity, and I believe that it tastes almost curdled.

Allcaps history

Started in 2021 around the northwest uk. Allcaps' goal is to roast fun, exciting coffee and have amazing, interesting branding. Allcaps is another roastery with clear passion for coffee.

Taken from their website;

Brewing coffee is a real highlight to our day, whether that be a rich flat white, a large mug of easy-drinking batch brew, or a vibrant pour-over bursting with fruits. We think this joy is accessible to everyone in an uncomplicated, sustainable & conscientious way.

Conclusion

Overall this coffee is excellent if brewed the correct way, and for my take on this coffee being bad in milk, that is strictly my opinion.

Priced at £56 a kg, which is an amazing price for such a great coffee.
