Roast Records 022 - Sundial

This one is exciting and is one of my favourite coffees I have had this year. Intermission is moving up my list fast. This will prove to be a fun one so let's jump in and discuss this coffee.

Tasting notes

Mango

Passion Fruit

Peach ice tea

Origin and Region

Huila

Colombia

Recommended Brew Method

Pour-over

Aeropress

Filter

Brew

Another wow, I love this coffee; it's very complex. Sundial is extremely tea-like, but the clarity makes this coffee special, amazing taste of mango and body of peach. Reminds me heavily of the peach fanta in Japan and has to be the Japanese ones in the small metal cans/bottle things.

Best as a pour-over but makes a great aeropress and would 100% be a good filter.

Intermissions History

Established in August of 2020 with a unique ethos for the time. The idea is to showcase the entire process of the chain, like the fact the coffee plant takes 5 years to grow.

Their mission is to put the people and planet first to help not cause any unnecessary harm to the planet.

I believe this is one of the best messages in coffee, and we need more companies like this and willing to make the change for the better.

Synopsis

Intermission still has this coffee available, so please go and try it. I'm excited to see what intermission have in store and will definitely be ordering more soon.

Priced at £90.00 a kg, which is definitely on the steep side but is well worth it, as I love it so much.
