Another Dark Arts coffee on roast records, this was brought at the same time as the other, as I couldn't contain myself while visiting London. Without further ado, let us dive in and discover another incredible coffee from my favourite roaster.

Taste of Heaven
Mother Tongue is a fantastic coffee with a strong nutty taste and a light melon finish. Best in an AeroPress, the roast is a bit dark, so I would say that with a different roast profile, maybe lighter, the grape and melon would be front and centre of the flavour.
Solid with milk, best in a flat white or latte to keep those flavours. A fantastic espresso due to its profile.
History of Dark Arts
Dark Arts was founded in 2014 by Brad Morrison in Hackney, London, where they are still based. The goal was to roast and sell exceptional coffee, which I can now say has been accomplished.
Dark Arts has a distinct marketing style with excellent packaging and coffee names, such as "Clay Pigeons". They use social media to share playful and humorous meme-based content.
As of May 2026, Dark Art has just re-released a magazine called The Dealer Magazine. (which I have now brought)

Conclusion
Another fantastic coffee, decadent and complex, best in an Aeropress or French press.
Priced at £13.65 for 250 grams, an excellent price for a complex cup.
