Sidbury, Sidbury Road, Worcester

Well, my first review of a coffee shop in the city I hold so dearly. This is one of my favourites, so I will try not to be biased. Located just outside of the city on the iconic Sidbury Road, a couple doors down from the commandery.

Let's chat about this gem.

Coffee and brew

First things first, this is probably the hundredth time visiting Sidbury, as it is all on my list when going into Worcester Centre. The flat white this time was good, a little thick with the micro foam, and the coffee was the passion fruit co-ferment by Allcaps, and I have to say, not a huge fan. I think co-ferments have to stay as pour-overs and not espressos.

When leaving, I had to grab the batch brew, which was a coffee by Carter located in Edinburgh. This coffee was from Uganda and had taste notes of papaya, lime cordial and described as spicy, which I will defently agree.

Sidbury's History

Opened on the 20th of April 2026 after being announced on social media earlier this year. They build lots of hype around the local area, getting lots of people talking. Sharing owners with the well-established Camo barbers next door.

Being fairly new, they have a lot of history to write.

Interior

The decor of Sidbury is very simple: a concrete floor, a wooden bar and chairs. Not tonnes of seating but has a massive outdoor area for sunny days. Sidbury has lots of shelving behind the bar to display their retail coffee offerings.

To note the back of the shop is accessed via going behind the bar, and just personal preference, I do not like it.

Value of money

The flat white was £4.50, as it had the guest espresso, which was an extra £0.70, making a house flat white £3.80. The batch brew was £3.70 and was made using the Moccamaster. Unfortunately, Sidbury is on the more expensive side but they do rote coffees all the time and have multiple options, which definitely contributes to the price.

Conclusion

An amazing spot while visiting one of England's most historic cities. I love Sidbury and consistently visit when I have a chance, mainly to check out what new coffees they have.
