The best word to describe this coffee is one that is thrown about a lot these days and that "decadent". This is because the coffee is beautifully complex with strong lemon notes and smooth chocolate and juicy raspberry.
I achieved this by using the in-box brew method, which is quite handy if you are new to coffee and stuck on how to brew certain coffees.
As usual, I did try this coffee in an espresso and found it was way too acidic. I also tried to pair it with milk, and the flavours just got lost.
Taith's Past
Taith first opened as an online roastery in July 2021 and later expanded to open their physical cafe and bookshop in 2024. Their cafe, though I have not visited it yet, is a must-visit, as the views from the shop are incredible.
Their approach is to take their time, offering the best-tasting coffees and establishing relationships with farms, not caring how long it takes. They state it is not about what sells the best, just what tastes good. I agree heavily.
Conclusion
To finish, Ngila Estate by Taith is an excellent coffee offering something different and something you dont want to open, as the box looks so good on your shelf.
Priced at £78.75 a kg, which at first sounds expensive, but when you take the fact it's a geisha varietal and the beautiful packaging, it's more than worth it.
