A new chapter
Something a bit different on the Odyssey Coffee blog: If you follow our social media channels, you would have seen that I am part of a very exciting project. Chummy's Bakery is opening up the first coffee shop in the heart of Droitwich.
My part
The Chummys Bakery coffee shop officially opens on the 29th of June and I can proudly say I am the head barista, we have all worked so hard over the last few weeks to make this happen. I couldn’t ask for a better team to open with, from the director of the company to the loyal bakery staff and the new coffee shop team.
I'm so excited to get started and serve all of the wonderful customers and coffee enthusiasts.
what we are serving
First of all, our coffee is the Allpress Espresso. Allpresses take on a classic espresso blend that has the balance and smooth finish that you can expect from a medium roast.
A blend of Brazil, Honduras, Colombia and Indonesia with taste notes of chocolate, caramel and crisp apple. Perfect with milk and an ice latte with this really hot weather.
Paired with the coffee are some exceptional bakes and pastries. The bakes are coming straight from the amazing chummy's bakery with offerings of brownies, cookies and cupcakes. Pastries and bread are coming from the local Peter Cooks Bread.
What we are about
Our goal is to serve quality products and provide the best service. We will be releasing seasonal specials called the ‘Barista Choice', the first being a blueberry matcha.
I hope too see everyone there at some point. I cant wait to see what this shop and the potential for it to be the best coffee shop in the West Midlands.
