I have been wanting to try Outpost Coffee for a while but haven't had the opportunity till now. I brought one of their lucky dip packs that was only £10. When I brought it, they delivered 3 bags, 2 of which were 100g taster bags, and the Bukato was a 225g bag.

Best in a milk-based drink. This flat white coffee had a soft sweet white chocolate with a hint of peach.

I had to try this coffee in a pour-over because Yiracheffe (where this coffee is from) is known for an Earl Grey tea-like flavour, and I have to say it is exactly that.

Outpost History

Outpost opened in 2013 in Nottingham and, 2 years later, opened its training centre in 2015.

From Outpost Coffee's website: "Outpost is a small, independent & focused speciality coffee roastery based in Nottingham, England. At our core, we’re a group of speciality coffee people on a journey, not too dissimilar to the one you’re probably on right now. Lifelong coffee learning is our thing, and we LOVE it."

Conclusion

In conclusion, Bukato by Outpost Coffee is an amazing coffee for milk-based drinks or if you are a fan of tea-like filters.

£58.50 per kg, a fair price for this highly sought-after coffee from a popular region. I recommend you try Outpost Coffee and support an amazing independent roastery.
